Southampton City Transport Ltd was renamed First Hampshire Ltd, on 1st April 1999.

    At the same time the fleet of Provincial Bus Company Ltd was transferred to the new First Hampshire.

    The fleets were renumbered into a common sequence.

    First Hampshire was later split into First Southampton and First Portsmouth. Links to the websites for these divisions, are at the bottom of this page.
